Guides for salon and barbershop owners
Step-by-step help for setting up BHC POS and running the shop day to day.

Guide 1
Getting started with BHC POS
From registration to the first sale. Plan on about an hour, most of it entering your service menu.
- Register your business. Open the web app or install the app, then register as the owner with your email and a password. Your 30-day trial of every feature starts here.
- Check your outlet. Your first outlet is created with the business. Confirm its name and details so receipts and the booking page show the right information.
- Enter services. Add each service with its price and duration. Group them into categories such as cuts, colour or treatments so the cashier screen stays tidy.
- Add products. Add the products you sell and the supplies you want to track, with their starting stock.
- Add staff and cashier PINs. Create employees and give each cashier a username and PIN. They sign in on the outlet device; the owner keeps the email login.
- Set commission. Decide commission per service and per staff member so payroll is ready at the end of the period.
- Take a test sale. Ring up a service and a product, check the receipt, then review it in reports.
Guide 2
Taking bookings online
Online booking fills quiet hours and cuts down on phone calls. Here is how to set it up so it helps the team instead of adding work.
- Make sure services and staff are complete. Clients choose from the services and staff in your app, so durations and names should be accurate.
- Share your booking link. Add it to your Instagram bio, Google Business Profile, WhatsApp Business profile and printed cards at the counter.
- Watch the schedule. Bookings appear in the app; the queue handles walk-ins in between.
- Check out from the booking. When the client finishes, charge them with the booked services and staff already selected.
Reducing no-shows
Confirm appointments with clients the day before through your usual channel, keep durations realistic so the schedule doesn't run late, and keep a few walk-in slots at busy times so a no-show doesn't leave a chair empty.
Guide 3
Working offline
Internet drops happen, especially in busy malls and small shopfronts. BHC POS is designed so the till keeps working.
What works offline
The cashier can keep selling: transactions are written to the device first. When the connection comes back, they are sent to the server automatically.
Why there are no duplicates
Each transaction carries its own identity from the moment it is created. If the same sale is sent twice because a connection dropped halfway, the server recognises it and records it once.
Good habits
- Let the device reconnect before closing the shift so reports are complete.
- Keep the app updated; new versions install over the old one and keep your data.
- Don't uninstall the app while there are unsynced sales on the device.
